Cherise Dyann Cuevas or Cherise Dyann Loy (on weekends & holidays) is married to the wonderful Wayne Loy & lives in Reston, Virginia. Cherise relocated while attending SUNY Stony Brook & met Wayne, one of father’s best, but much younger friends. In 1994 they fell in love & followed their dreams together: buying & renovating a foreclosure home, adopting four-paw children & eventually saying “I do” at their Medieval Wedding weekend October 7, 2000.
Cherise received her Juris Doctor at night from Catholic University, Columbus Law School & in 1997 she completed the Santa Clara International Law Summer Program in Hong Kong. In the winter of 2003, with Wayne’s support & love, she opened her own law firm Cuevas Law, P.L.L.C. found at www.cuevaslaw.us.
Until the fall of 2007 the couple traveled with & spent much time with Dyann & Sergio Cuevas until Sergio’s unexpected and mournful passing; now they’re trying to focus on what happiness the future holds. Deirdre Tighe Redel is happily married to
Mike Redel. She lives on Staten Island in Prince's Bay and is the
proud mom of Lucas, age 3.1/2. She also has three step children,
Meghan (21), Molly (16) and Ethan (15). Deirdre has been working as
a graphic designer in NYC for 15 years. The last 4 years she's
worked as freelance Design Director-which has given her the
flexibility to work from home in the evenings, so that she can spend
most days with her little boy. Last year she started a design

Creative, with her college roommate. Deirdre enjoys a good
episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm, lots of laughs with family and
friends, walks at the beach with Lucas looking for shells and the

Kerri Kubicz-Schaefer has been happily married for 8 years to Billy Schaefer and lives in North Bellmore, Long Island... She has two amazing children, Morgan (4 years) and William (3 1/2 months) who are the loves of her life... Kerri is a speech language pathologist who works with the early intervention, birth to 5 population, providing therapy sessions and evaluations. Maria Fox Giambrone has been happily married for 3 years to Mark Giambrone. She lives on Staten Island and is the proud mom to two amazing children, Marco (2) and Miabella Rose (7 months). Maria has been working full time at the National Football League for the past 5 years and is very fortunate to have a job that she loves. Maria also owns a business called Uppercase Living which sells Vinyl lettering and embellishments for home or business. Jennifer Ann Hall-Krieger had traded one island for another and is proud to call Patchouge, Long Island home for the past 7 years. Her husband Jack is a local politician and Jennifer stays very involved in the goings on of their 3.3 square mile village and it’s politics. She is currently a stay at home mom to her step-son Tom and her one-year-old son Benjamin with hopes of another one soon to follow! An associate degree graduate from F.I.T., Jennifer traded in her city advertising career when she moved to LI and went back to school at Stony Brook University. She received her BS in American History in 2007 and MS in Teaching Social Studies 7-12 this past May. She sometimes substitute teaches in the local area schools and enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading and scrapbooking. Jennifer Lasky Barron is married to her
high school sweetheart
Michael Barron. They have six children which includes two
sets of twins. Amanda (17) , Alexandra (16) , Michael (12), Emily
(12), Jack (5) and Thomas (5).
She is a stay at home mom and devotes her time to her family. She is
also a cheerleading coach at St. Charles for the past six years and
just this year started coaching her daughter Allie's high school
varsity team at Moore Catholic. In her spare time she enjoys
volunteering at her kids schools , reading, crafting and cooking.
She also enjoys hanging out and vacationing with her family and
friends. She is so happy to be a part of this reunion committee and

Francesca Lucia (Gulino) Firenze lives on Staten Island and has been married for 4 years to Giuseppe Firenze. They have a 17 month old daughter, Serena, who is a complete joy and are hoping to expand the family very soon. Francesca's favorite career is motherhood, but she is also an 8th grade math teacher as well as an Activities Coordinator at Totten IS 34. Carolyn
Merillo-Council has been married for 15 years to James
Council. She has 3 beautiful children, Caitlin (16), Brianna (13),
and Justin (11). Carolyn still resides on
Staten Island. She is a stay-at-home mom and is a private
nanny to 2 children ages 3 and 1. In her spare time she enjoys
baking and cooking for her family and friends. Her most recent
project is fondant cakes. She is very active in her son's
basketball teams and her daughter's golf team. She loves

Jennifer Ang-Aberin is currently devoting her
energy to restarting a family business. She and her husband of
fifteen years, Christian Aberin are dusting off her uncle's old
satay/bbq recipe and reintroducing it to customers in
Staten Island
and Manhattan.
To keep her sanity she sometimes joins Barbara Sanchez at
Panera for
coffee and conversation. She is so proud that her niece just
started Villa as a freshman. In her other life, Jen dreams of
being a master composter and sensational gardener. For now,
she's starting small with her vermicompost (red
wiggler worms eat her husband's fruit peels) and two raised

Adrienne Fox-McDowell - Has been married for 16 years to Martin McDowell. They live in Lehigh Acres, Florida in their dream home and have two beautiful daughters, Amy (13) and Amanda (10). Adrienne has been a stay-at-home mom and Leader with Partylite Gifts, Inc. for the past twelve years. She loves being her own boss with Partylite and having a career that allows her to put her family first. She loves to volunteer at her daughters schools and at the local Ronald McDonald House. She also loves traveling (especially for FREE with Partylite) with Martin and is looking forward to taking a Mediterranean Cruise this May. Barbara Sanchez is online marketing expert, but
is currently unemployed. When she is not hunting for her next
job, she makes the most of her time,
blogging about her
experiences, networking and designing websites (like this one) on
the side. She spent the month May in Santiago, Chile with the
Sisters of St. John The Baptist, learning Spanish. You can
often find her in good spirits in her "office" at Panera by
Target. Barbara is still single, is the proud Godmother to Kaitlyn
Jenkins (daughter of our classmate Aimee Maraio-Jenkins and Timmy
Jenkins) and lives in Staten Island in Grasmere. Barbara
is excited to be working on the 20th reunion and looks forward to

Tricia Orlando-Zichello is one of six women in her family who attended SJVA (including her mom whose 50th Villa reunion is in 2010). She has been married for five years to Daniel Zichello. They live in Aberdeen, NJ and have an adorable Shih Tzu puppy named Abby who is their only child (so far!) Tricia has been the Benefits Manager at K. Hovnanian Homes in Red Bank, NJ for the past five years. She loves traveling (especially cruises) with Dan and is a big fan of theater and live music. Tricia recently started her own business called BeneFAQs. She uses her 15 years of experience in health care and employee benefits to help individuals chose their healthcare plans, resolve medical claim issues, etc. She recently served as Matron of Honor at her sister's wedding (Michele Orlando Krutoy - SJVA Class of 1993) and is happily a godmother to Alexandria and Timothy (her cousins). In addition to working on our 20th reunion committee, Tricia maintains a Facebook group for all alumnae of SJVA high school so they can keep up with school events and reunions.
